Read on to hear some of the nice things people have said about Bleed The Freek.

Friday night.  The Uplands Tavern is buzzing with noisy punters sniffing out Booze and entertainment.  The beer is flowing and there is an abundance of barflies hovering around their drinks.  Chalked up on the blackboard behind the stageare the weeks music makers, here to drown out the small talk and divert some attention to their corner of the room.

Dropping us straight in at the deep end are the Blackwood boys collectively known as Bleed the Freek.  By the way of introduction their first song "Spanish Fly" is a striaghtforward rock out with weaselling guitar spread-eagled over whining feedback.

"Your the only one who listens, the only one who says you'll make it someday".  Vocalsit Steve abandons his guitar and concentrates all his energy into crooning out the emotive lyrics before launchinginto an all out vocal attack, "I'm gonna be just like you someday, gonna make it my own way".

The lads go straight into "Easy Steal" with the vocarious energy of a child gobbling down its dinner to get straight to dessert.  Stu's fast paced drumming throughout the rapid changes of the song and the start-stop sequences is evidence enough of the bands superb timing, also apparent in the short sharp bursts of "Not Designed for Prime Time".

Despite its deceptively smoth title "Milk and Honey" is a kick in the teeth.  The song is built up tensely from the start with intermittent drumming before Ty's bass works its way up and draws together all aspects of the song.

When the Freekshow rolls into town, it brings with it loud and compelling music that swings between the rough and the smooth.  Its enough to make your eras bleed.
